Goals of the Back-to-School Teen Explosion Conference

• Bridge the gap between local community businesses and youth to make school success and critical workforce development skills relevant to youth.
• Provie an annual Back-to-School learning event for youth in the Sandhills region of NC that empowers youth to be successful in school.
• Empower teens to embrace personal school achievement and life beyond high school by linking teens to real life opportunities to meet local business owners and local college admissions representatives.
• Build a research based community model based on feedback from teens, parents, community agencies, and businesses that meet the unique needs of youth in the Sandhills Region of NC.

The participants will…

• Gain knowledge on how to prepare for school and be successful
• Understand through relevancy, the link between school and work-force development
• Meet local business representatives to learn more about possible career opportunities
• Complete a career assessment to be better able to focus exploration of potential career opportunities
• Gain knowledge about how to prepare for life after high school

Registration Cost for Teen X Conference

Multiple Family Registration: $35.00 for 1st child and $10 discount for each additional child
Group Registration: $20.00 per student (minimum of 8)
